The RJLL team is looking for a person to take on the role of preventionist and ensure the health and safety of our workers.

If you have experience in occupational health and safety as well as a strong desire to be part of a dynamic and passionate team, you may be the ideal person to fill this position.

The preventionist acts as an expert and advisor in health and safety. In particular with respect to compliance and regulatory requirements in terms of occupational health and safety and the environment. He also participates in the design, implementation and improvement of processes aimed at reducing work accidents. He supports the field team in the application of best health and safety practices by actively participating in site visits.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Certificate in occupational health and safety or a technical certificate in occupational health and safety (persons who do not hold one of these diplomas, but who have accumulated experience in the field of drilling or any other field deemed relevant will be considered);
  • Have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Be bilingual French/English (an asset).

Tasks

  • Carry out preventive activities in health and safety at work and in the environment;
  • Ensure management of Ecologo certification;
  • Ensure the management of environmental incidents in collaboration with supervisors;
  • Proceed or act as a guide during incident/accident investigations;
  • Initiate and coordinate the identification of hazards and risk analysis, and ensure follow-up of corrective actions and the implementation of permanent solutions;
  • Conduct site visits with CNESST inspectors;
  • Accompany managers in the implementation of preventive measures and support them in the implementation of integrated health and safety management within their teams;
  • Provide occupational health and safety training;
  • Conduct occupational health and safety and environmental inductions for new workers upon hiring;
  • Develop safe work procedures, audit and optimize them;
  • Collaborate with the various departments to ensure compliance with regulations;
  • Monitor health and safety performance and make appropriate recommendations.

*The work schedule could be occasionally modified according to travel to remote sites.

The RJLL team is growing! We are looking for someone to take on the role of mechanic and ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the equipment.

If you have experience in mechanics, electronics, hydraulics and welding as well as a strong desire to be part of a dynamic and passionate team, you may be the ideal person to fill this position.

Required profile

  • Diploma of professional studies in construction machinery mechanics or experience deemed equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of business experience;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when problems arise;
  • Be organized and resourceful;
  • Knowledge of the field of drilling would be an asset.

 

Tasks

  • Diagnose problems on the components of drills and tractors;
  • Travel to construction sites as needed to perform diagnostics and various work necessary for the proper functioning of the equipment;
  • Maintain equipment of all kinds (e.g. ATVs, pumps, etc.);
  • Carry out various basic welding work;
  • Check the operation of hydraulic systems;
    Check the operation of electrical (12V to 24V) and electromechanical systems.
